lawncrest section of philadelphia. katherine scott is live at northeast detective's with the details. katherine. >> reporter: matt there are surveillance cameras near the home police are hoping there's footage that can help in the investigation to give them more details on the suspects. the victim told police when she got out of her car last night she didn't see anybody but when she got to the back door, suddenly two men appeared a terrifying home-invasion robbery in lawncrest leaves two women injured, a 56-year-old woman returning from work pulled into the back driveway of her home. as she entered the back door, two men pushed her inside at gunpoint and hit her in the face with the gun. her mother investigated the noise. >> they were forced to the floor, guns were put to both of

their heads. they were asking where the money is if they didn't cooperate they would kill them both. the home was ransacked, the men ran out the front door, the 56-year-old had injuries to her lip and wrist. her mother had deep head lacerations that required stitches. >> these robberies are brazen it is a cowardly act to strike a 70-year-old woman and 56-year-old woman in the face. police don't know what was taken from the home. they don't know if the men was waiting for the women outside are or followed her home from work. this remains under investigation. scoment cot channel 6 "action w- katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> we have new information this morning on a attack on a police officer in schuylkill. it happened last night in west penn township. the sergeant was driving down

>> reporter: up early out early the road is yours for the most part. this is the schuylkill expressway expressway we have an accident on the schuylkill expressway westbound at 202. we saw a tow truck under the overpass, i think i do still see there's a car off to the side. it's hard to make out, i can see the flashing lights. on the shoulder schuylkill westbound at king of prussia. looks like the tow truck left the scene. northeast extension northbound past quakertown we have construction blocking the right lane. in cumberland county we have some construction going on 55 northbound past 49 exit 24. route 42 northbound traffic moving okay at creek road. they had that terrible construction where you had to get off 42 and get back on, things are looking better now. on the waze app somebody is talking about an on the road in the atlantic city expressway.

two children in the car. in the video you can see her begging police to call a family member to pick up her two toddlers. her blood alcohol registered at .225. five suspicious packages were intercepted at a pennsylvania post office and destroyed. they were addressed to a young cast member of the dance mom's reality show. the packages contained bizarre items including nude photos and scrap book and handwritten letters. police arrested a 30-year-old california man who had a historical of sending questionable packages to celebrities. california says transgendered students must undergo an inspection which team they can join. the south dakota high school
